Humble yourself...Laugh:)

"Be honest with yourself, about yourself...learn to laugh at yourself."

"When you are humble, nothing can touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are."-unknown

If people judge or criticize you, even jokingly, you have no reason to be upset if you know who and what you are. Know your flaws and be comfortable with them. Laugh at yourself and then realize that just because you laughed at yourself doesn't mean that you think any less of yourself. When you realize that, maybe you will see that others don't necessarily think any less of you either. People naturally judge, even subconciously...when you hold your guard up or put up fronts, people try to figure out the missing pieces of who you are for themselves. Unfortunately, most people assume the worst, and then we wonder why people have such bad and wrong opinion of us. It takes a courageous person to say,"This is me, these are my flaws, accept me or don't, either way, I'm still thrilled to be me!". Flaws can be physical or even a part of your character, but they are what helps make you who you are. No one is "perfect" by everyone's standards...so it's okay to admit your shortcomings and even to laugh at them. Be sure that everyone you encounter has many flaws of their own as well. Learn, understand and then accept the fact that even though no one, including you, is "perfect" in everyone's eyes, we are ALL "perfect" in God's eyes. Humble yourself; not only is Humility the citadel of Beauty, but it makes all of our other character flaws seem to fade into the background.

"Humility is the only certain defense against humiliation."-Unknown
